How to use this blog

You are expected to make least one post and one comment each week, but feel free to do more. This is a place for you to share with each other in a way we can’t in the classroom.

Once invited to be an author, on the first day of class, you can sign in and post. Simply click this icon to get started:

You will be taken to a window where you can add a title, body of post and insert any images or links you like:

On the left hand side of the window be sure to choose a category, and be sure to make posts over the semester under all the categories. Also add tags, any keyword relevant to your post. Title your post “Category: what the post is about”.

Upload a Feature Image this will be the image shown on the blog home page and entice others to look at your post. Make sure it is relevant and catchy. It may be helpful to know how to take a screen shot if even for your personal archives. If you haven’t done this before, google it and learn how to on your personal computer, on macs the default is usually command>shift>4 you can easily change these keys in settings.

To make links, change font and insert pictures into the body of your text look to the menu bar at the top of you page. Play around and familiarize yourself with these tools. I recommend using the “preview” button to see what your post will really look like when inserting quotes, pics or slideshows.
