Ancient Qumran Cups

Qumran is an archeological dig site in Israel, along the west bank of the Dead Sea. Cups like the ones below were found inside of caves in the sides of large plateaus in a desert-like setting. The cups with the handles were made of limestone and used for measuring, and the cups without the handles were made of ceramics and were used for drinking. I like the way the handles on the cups are a different shape on the outside than they are on the inside, and I also like how they have two handles. I really love the foot on the goblet on the bottom of the other stack. I researched the ancient Qumran bowls for my sketches for the bowl project, and the thing that stood out to me most about them during that project were the feet as well.
