Vessels – Zachary

A Korean Vase, ca. 19th Century, with hand painted cobalt blue decorations, measuring . 7-1/8"H x 7-1/2" in diameter at the widest point of the bulbous form.:

I really enjoy this shape as a vessel. The round belly and wide opening is very pleasing to my eyes. This is a Korean vase from the 19th century.

Here is a modern Korean vase. I find it interesting how the shape of a vase is the shape of a vase. I suppose you can’t really change much about a form, if it works it works. But the decorative walls is the change in style. Using it like a canvas to paint.
